So it’s a stainless steel mug. What’s the big deal?
First off, it is a big deal, because it’s a BIG mug.
It holds 750 ml / 25 ounces, the equivalent of three cups of liquid. That’s a lot of liquid.
The Institute of Medicine recommended daily adequate intake of liquids is about 8 glasses of fluid a day (about 2 litres or 64 ounces).
That means three fills of this stainless steel mug will set you up for liquids for the day.
And we’re talking “liquids” here – not necessarily just water. So while water is certainly best for the body, you can fill it up with milk, tea, coffee, juice, wine, beer, or whatever your liquid of choice may be.
Second, it is more than just a staid and simple stay-at-home mug.
It has multiple uses and loves to travel…
- Quick cooking companion – Put some cold soup in it and heat it up directly on the stove. Better yet, make some soup from scratch directly in it.
- Camping companion – You can use it over a fire to heat up water for tea, coffee, doing the dishes. Or use it as a pot for cooking up a savoury stew.
- Trail hiking companion – Clip it to your backpack with a carabiner and begone to discover the wild wild west… north, east or south.
- At home or on-the-go pet water dish – Maybe you’ve sated your thirst after climbing Kiliminjaro, but what about your dear canine companion? Unclip the cup and fill it up for your thirsty pooch.
Third, there are other lovely things about this stainless steel mug…
- The obvious: It’s plastic-free.
- High quality, 18-8 food grade 304 stainless steel.
- The perfect replacement for wasteful and chemical leaching disposable plastic and styrofoam cups.
- Ethically sourced from Thailand – a supplier we know and trust and have worked with for almost ten years.
- It is is tough: If you use it to hammer in tent posts it may dent, but it’ll probably still work. Intended for multi-generational use.
So these are a few reasons why we think this this versatile mug is a big deal. Feel free to share other uses you come up with in the comments below.
Cheers!
