Have you ever tried the sun salutation on a surfboard? Maybe the cobra pose?

Me neither, but I’m very excited to have the opportunity to try in the next few weeks.
And you could have the same opportunity…
We are utterly honoured and thrilled to be the grand prize winners for last year’s My Ocean Guardian Journey Contest, and are super stoked to be using our prize of a 7-day Yoga and Surf Vacation at Bodhi Surf during the first week of this coming November. Thank you Bodhi Surf!
Bodhi Surf is an innovative surf and yoga school and travel business in Uvita, Bahia Ballena, Osa, Costa Rica, and this will be an exciting opportunity to talk ocean activism with founders Pilar and Travis, while learning to surf at the same time!
Bodhi Surf runs the annual My Ocean Guardian Journey Contest where they offer a unique opportunity for “ordinary” individuals to share awesome, creative and impactful actions they have taken to protect Mother Ocean, in exchange for the chance to win some special prizes. Submissions need to be forward-thinking actions an individual has taken to help protect the oceans, promote their importance, and inspire others to do the same.
The 2015 My Ocean Guardian Journey Contest launched on October 1st, with entries being accepted between October 1st and 31st, and voting taking place on a public platform during the same time frame.
How do you enter?
- Sign the Ocean Guardian Pledge on the Bodhi Surf School website
- Submit your entry between October 1st and October 31st, 2015 on the Bodhi website. The entry consists of the following:
- An essay of at least 500 words describing your action
- One pertinent photo of your action (optimal photo size is 1200x630px)
- One piece of unbiased “proof”: such as a letter of reference, a link to a website or an event page, etc.
- Get your friends, family, and network to vote for your entry and share everyday throughout October!
Through the Ocean Guardian Journey Contest, Bodhi Surf “strives to recognize and pay-it-forward to the individuals who take extraordinary actions on a daily basis — actions that often go unhighlighted or unnoticed! This contest is to celebrate these individuals while helping the grassroots movement — towards sustainable living, a healthy ocean, and a flourishing planet — gain momentum.”
Bodhi Surf is an organization of extraordinary individuals generously sharing their knowledge, resources and idyllic way of life with the world – all in aid of Mother Ocean.
So go for it! Share your story of your actions, and maybe you’ll be perfecting the downward dog on a surfboard in Costa Rica next year!
